Concrete Polishing Process steps
1. The process starts by removing, pitting, unevenness, existing buildups of glue, adhesives, paint or existing coatings in the concrete surface. This is done by grinding with metal bonded diamonds. All concrete surfacing is diamond leveled and flattened.
2. Because we remove the original concrete seal/ coating, we reapply a densifying concrete seal to stop dusting and harden the floor ( using an impregnating concrete hardener). Several diamond grinds are done in order to prepare the concrete for the polishing steps.
3. Before polishing begins, our liquid chemical densifiers are applied to ensure the concrete floor is hardened and will resist absorption of liquids and eliminate concrete dust once the floor is complete.
4. Finally the multi- step of concrete polishing begins using specialized resin bonded diamonds. These steps gradually increase in finer and finer grades of diamond to ultimately produce desired shine in the floor surface.
